Chapter 2 - Prophets, Angels, and Edmund

Focus: Page 9 to the top of Page 11

Faith in Jesus Christ is the key to both temporal and eternal life. This salvation must begin in time and space, but it plays out in the eternity of heaven. pg. 10

It’s amazing to think that this great faith we have in Jesus leads to eternal life. When all we know is what lies around us, eternity can feel distant and impossible. But eternity is what we’re offered through Christ!

We get to be a part of God’s eternal plans! Your testimony to the goodness of Jesus Christ in your life can impact others in a powerful way. “When God speaks through what we say, write, or post, we often do not know the full extent of the impact because we lack the bandwidth to see the big picture.” pg. 11

Like me, I’m sure you have been impacted by others' testimonies, drawing you closer to Jesus, without the person even knowing. You can be that person too. Your witness, kindness, encouragement, or challenge can and likely will, have an eternal impact on others.

Loving God, help us to see beyond ourselves and look towards eternity. Use our words and actions to reflect the Good News of Jesus, inspiring others to repent of their sin and accept your Son as Lord and Savior. There is no greater honor than to guide others towards eternity with you. We pray this in Jesus’ mighty and powerful name. Amen!
