Daily Bible Reading for February 4th

 Reading for March 4th

Chapter 9 - The Saved, the Suffering, and the Oppressed

Focus: Page 57 to the Top of 61

“It is God’s will that your honorable lives should silence those ignorant people who make foolish accusations against you.” 1 Peter 2:15

Today, I’d like to hear from you! Most of us have felt like we were incompatible with the culture at large. A time when we felt alone and isolated in our opinions, convictions, and beliefs. Thankfully, very rarely do we end up staying in that place for long periods of time.

What I’d like for you to do is respond to this question, “what helps you to stay grounded in Jesus Christ when you are at odds with the culture?”

There are no wrong answers to this question. If it’s drinking a cup of coffee at sunrise and thanking God, excellent. If it’s reading your Bible, excellent. Crying out to the Lord? Excellent. This is a time where we can all learn from each other how to handle the stress of being in a church under fire and more importantly, ways to live honorable lives even in the face of accusations.

Let’s hear it!

*Correction* from yesterday! Our links for this week provide us with some biblical context on what it means to submit to the authority of our government. We also have a link that can help us to pray for our government and our leaders.

Awesome God, there are times where I feel like I’m alone. There are times when I feel isolated and separated from you and the safety of your arms. When my heart is at odds with others, help me keep my eyes on Jesus. Let His peace guide me back to you. I pray this all in Jesus’ name. Amen.
